K&N air filter
If you would use the search, you will find enough threads on K&N to read all night. You will find every arguement for and every one against.
It seems you already have an opinion and a position you wish to argue. Is the only reason you started this thread to create another arguement to entertain yourself? This site is here to share ideas and knowledge about trucks, not a platform for your entertainment.
If this thread turns out as your last few have, you will no longer be allowed to participate as a member on this site. Yes, this is a warning.

I truly feel the K&N helps my truck's performance, and to hear otherwise demands proof imo. Anyway, if you wanna boot me it is your perogative, but all I did was ask questions.
Boomer is the one instigating with the "noone likes you" comment. I have benefited from a couple of LL's comments as I am sure many have in the last month. Just sayin...
Hey, BJ, this is my fault. I just don't see the evidence, merely hearsay that seems to prove the K&N is benefiting, not hurting the filtration. I guess people look at it their way and can't explain why, (besides improper cleaning/oiling) which is fine, but people should admit that and not claim argument is the motive.

I gotcha, man. Given, cleaning them is a pain, but I have always found it worth the effort. Wasn't trying to argue, I just haven't seen hard evidence to prove K&N is worse...I know a guy with over a million miles on his F-250 Diesel and has had the same K&N air filter on BOTH engines he's had in it (for like 650,000 miles - one air filter). That's awesome imo.
I didn't know saying what ever is acting like a ****. Nor did i know what ever is negative.

As for proof against the K&N, there have been recent threads where some filter tests were posted. However, I tend to think you can do tests to prove or disprove anything you want to. I ran a K&N on my 5.4 for 135,000 miles and never used oil, ran smooth as could be the day I sold her. On the otherhand, I never saw a power or mpg improvement. Just the savings of not replacing filters. Personally, I like K&N but obviously, they are not for everyone.

Anyway enough drama for the night. Thanks for the input on the filter questions.
Some people like em some don't and if you use one its up to you. Personally I like em. I have a spectre filter on my CAI I may have noticed a slight nog increase but nothing significant. However it looks and sounds cool haha. But to each his own. And let's leave it at that.

Lets now talk about weight reduction. What all could be takin off our trucks to reduce weight? to help with categories posted. So far i have takin off muffler, sway bar, trailer hitch, spare tire, only fill tank halfway. What else?
