Cutting exhaust

On my 1998 f-150 4.6L 2wd, I installed a flowmaster super 44. I personally hate how the exhaust pipe looks and think it looks goofy. What are the pros and cons of sawing off my pipe right after the muffler? About a foot or so after and adding a tip?

blows onto axle heating it up quicker, quicker oxidation on parts in contact with fumes. ive done it and made several sizable trips and had no issues, long term i what you need to worry about. I didnt even add a tip.

con's: lots of drone.. I cut mine after my bullet added a 90* elbow and a stainless tip. it exits before the tire. looks and sounds great, and less drone.
