Cold Start problems
Cold Start problems
ive got a 98 f150, great truck, i love it, i can never see myself in anything other than an ford truck. anways the problem is when the truck is cold. or sits overnight. this problem just started a few days ago, this post is on july 15 so its not cold weather. i'll start the truck up, let the rpm drop below 1000 to normal operating idle speed. i back up and drive away. ill go about half of a block take my foot off the gas and brake to set up for a corner and the rpms wont drop below 1000 and it sort of feels like the throttle is ever so slightly hung but it is not because i hooked my foot underneath to make sure that wasnt it. but as soon as i drive away and the temperatures are up slightly the problem goes away. i dont know what the problem is but it bugs me to death. its not the IAC. or if it is ill be pissed becasue i just changed it 4 months ago. however ive never cleaned the T. B in 120,000 miles so that is my only diagnosis. i would apreciate any suggestions!!
