Trans problem?
The reduced gearing is a tranfer case power flow change function done from outside by turning a rod same as a shift on the fly motor would do..
The shift sked change is a signal to the computer to change the program to another instruction set so the trans is shifted at lower in RPM through all the forward gears.
This is done with a switch.
You have to get under and look everything over.
We can talk about it forever until you work on it and see what you have, there are no magic answers.
Good luck.
