brake pad wear sensor

Hi Guys,
Quick question. Doing new pads on 2001 F150 2 wheel drive.
Do the pads with the wear sensor go on the inside or the outside and is the wear senson to the top or the bottom. Bought Thermo quiets and they aren't marked left or right & the old pads didn't have sensor.
Thanks for help

I assume by wear sensor you mean the metal squealer that protrudes from one side of the pad but really the pads should only fit properly one way. Compare the new ones with what you took off.

I have only ever seen the squeeler on the outside of other vehicles and I would not think it matters if it is leading or trailing the pad as it would squeal either way.

I just did the back of my 03 with the Wagner TQ's and I don't remember seeing squealers on them.
