Mild lift on 03 2WD, body or levelling kit for best ride?
2003 Screw 5.4, I want to do a 3" front and rear lift but I don't want to adversely effect the ride quality at all. Would a levelling kit with rear blocks or a 3" body lift be the best choice? FYI I rarely tow a trailer with this truck, done it once in the last two years.
by far the best way to go would be a 3" spindle lift with a 2" rear block and a set of 33" tires...spindles keep all the factory geometry so the ride will be the same. I have a lift spindle and 1" coil spacer and it looks and rides great
I'd go either spindles or or 3" coils with aftermarket arms. Both will have great ride quality, however the spindles will be the exact same as stock, I felt that the coils with the aftermarkets on my truck rode better than stock. Also spindles iirc are cheaper too.
Thanks guys, I've never driven a lifted a 2WD before and dont know jack about it! it sounds like spindles it is then! Any recommendations on brands? And will I need to install new shocks or extend the brake lines?

lift spindles are pretty much a direct replacement. I would check with the springtech ones they are the best bang for your buck IMO. No need to extend any thing but they will widen your track with in the front by 1.5" on each side i think. They did on mine.

Yup no need for anything new, but like he said it'll widen you up 1.5" per side.
However now would be the perfect time to replace upper and lower ball joints and outer tie rods, especially if they have over 60-70k on them because chances are they'll get damaged removing them from the spindle and you'll probably have to get your alignment checked after the install anyways.
