Installing double din in 01 screw

Installing double din in 01 screw

I'm installing a double din stereo in my 01 screw. I have the mounting bracket from scoshe but the radios mounting screw don't seem be long enough. Any suggestions???

I didn't use ANY brackets for my Kenwood, just a faceplate surround. The head unit was tight enough that it ain't going nowhere. I needed to take it out a couple times during the install...... and it was a beotch

Man I knew it! I knew I didn't need that stupid bracket crap! Oh well, thanks for the input. How much did you trim off the top of the bezel?

the outside radio bezel? not a thing! all my trimming was done to the inside of the dash

the inside upper was the worst. I ended up using a normal hand saw to cut it in half (front to back, so it kinda acts like a spring holder of sorts, ya know?)

Just slowly work at it, test fitting many times, till it gets where you like it
