Off-Road Lights... How to do it?

I'm thinking about putting a couple lights on the front of my truck. I don't really want a full brush guard or even a bull bar, but I saw a truck the other day with a smaller diameter light bar that came out of the bumper or off the frame somehow, and he had 2 round lights mounted on that, in front of his grill. It looked sharp.

Can you guys post up some pics of light mounting options for our trucks? Any suggestions as to which set-up would look good on my truck? Thanks!

Sounds like you're looking for a pre runner bar

Not so much bar as that. I don't really want the pre-runner look.

Something more like this:
