Door handle with keypad...wire harness extension?

So I was at the junkyard and happened to find an Expy with a door handle with the keypad, and the same color as my truck. Seems like a neat upgrade, right? The harness inside my door has the open plug for the keypad, however, it is located near the speaker, and the plug that attaches to the handle is only about 3 inches long, and it's located up by the handle. Is there such a thing as an extension for this harness that would run the length of the door so I could connect these two plugs together?

Only thing I can think of is to see if you can find a pigtail at autozone or oreilys - buy both the male and female ends, splice them together, then use that as an extension. Just plug the male end of the autozone one into the OE female one and the female autozone into the male OE plug. Hope this makes sense lol

re-route your OEM harness so it reaches. ...or just make your own extension with wire and heat shrink tubing.

Just solder in some wire to make it longer or go to the dealer.

When I bought my keypad for my truck, I believe the harness was part of the keypad which plugged into the plug in the door.
