If you do not have that harness with the blue tag, just go get the harness put on at the dealership. Its free and you can still use your cruise if you need.
I did when I got my 97 last year.
Fyi, if you pull the fuse under the dash for the cruise, you also will not have AC or reverse lights...

That's good to know, but I would just disable the deactivation switch, just in case. It's not a fuse. You just simply disconnect it. - IF it's leaking.

That's actually faster than locating the fuse and directly to the problem.

It's gonna be difficult to get that recall harness in Germany. If anything, you should just replace the deactivation switch with the improved model that doesn't leak, then you don't need the harness.

That's a lot of replies! Thank you very much!
For now I'm just gonna unplug it at the front of the master cylinder/brake fluid reservoir and I got a letter from Ford to take my truck in because of the gas tank recall and then I'm gonna ask them if they can give me the new harness too. I misread the threads yesterday and thought it would be a fuse but I want to keep my reverse lights and AC.

Yea, sometimes people don't take the correct answer to well. You have to sift thru a few of them. You did that successfully

When I bought the truck cruise didn't work, I want to make it start working, the modification has been done, however the sensor is leaking oil, I replaced and still doesn't
work. How would I check the fuse, and can i replace if bad?

If you have replaced the leaking switch with the improved model, all you need to do is remove the fused harness and plug it in directly. If it works, then for peace of mind you can get a replacement fused harness. If it doesn't work, then you have another issue.
