Rust in Cab corners

Alright im super pissed st first i just thought it was surface rust but at closer inspection it goes all the way through an there is even a hole. Both of my cab corners are rusted out. So i found these http://www.fixmyrust.com/1999-2003-f...C4206113L.html online but my question is would i cut out my current corners and then weld these or how would that work. Im also curous as to how many others have had this issue. and what you have done to fix it. I cant stand rust so i will be getting this fixed as soon as possible i just want to know what others have done and if those corners would work

Cut them out and mig in replacements. I can help set you up with options and whatnot. Right off, - that's the cheapest corner I've seen. People here get body panels from two sources that I know of , -

1.) Raybuck - /Cab Corners, = http://raybuck.com/c-54832-repair-pa...ight-duty.html

2.) LMC - /Cab Corners, = http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/fe/full.aspx?Page=15

I'd be weary of what you found out there. I've used both suppliers above and the metal is good, 16 gauge I believe, easy to Mig w/small wire 0.023" solid wire and proper contact tips. Also use argon/oxygen 75/25. That will keep it cool as possible giving you more weld time. You have to watch your heat with some 16 gauge. Like panels, - body panels will warp quickly if your not careful.

I have to replace all lower bed panels, both rockers, lower door pieces. I think my corners are good, I haven't go that far yet.

I hope mine looks that good once I finish. I ran it a little today, - pulled it out of the garage so I could run some pipe over head for a paint drop. Man I miss that truck. Have to customize the damn garage just so I can fix the body up right

yea i just pulled the last bottom part of the fist sized hole in my box... The cab finally started, didnt realized the little rubber caps that plug the inside of the rocker panels have fell off and allowed dirt to get in it. oh well, i wanna be a body man anyway!

Probably wouldn't have made a difference anyway. Mine were all still there but my rockers were rusted all to hell. After fixing everything a couple of years ago, I started spraying fluid film in the rockers and doors, and under the truck. It works really well in the rockers and doors. Since it doesn't harden/dry out, you can check in there and see it's still doing the job. Exposed areas it will wear off and you need to reapply at least once a year.

The rockers, door bottoms, and front bed corners were my rust problem areas.
