Uppers, Lowers and Control Arm

So I was just told that I need to replace my upper and lower ball joints and control arms as well as replace the 2 tires that have been worn unevenly due to the issues. Total cost is $1300. Is this worth it? I don't have the tools or knowledge to do this myself. Thanks.

How much do your tires cost? Are they replacing with oem parts or something with a greasable ball joint?

These prices include labor. Out the door price will be 1208

Doesn't sound too unreasonable at all. What parts are they using?

I don't have the tools. They are using the Moog parts. Apparently they have to replace the whole upper assembly.

You could buy a REALLY nice tool set for the price those guys are charging you!

If you don't want to change them yourself, then don't, I'm just trying to save you some money.

Haha yea when I got the quote for mine that's when I decided to do it myself. The whole process was pretty easy actually, everything went pretty smooth for me, the hardest thing of it all was pressing the new lowers back in, but a 6 foot cheater bar definitely helped haha.

I hear you and really appreciate where you're coming from. Unfortunately, I don't have the time to devote to the repair as this is my only mode of transport and a man has to work.

I did mine awhile back and ordered all the parts off of Amazon, all Moog, and with prime its free two day shipping & no tax...for now. Upper a-arm $55 and lower ball joint $38. While I was at it I also replaced the bushings on my lowers, inner/outer tie rods, and all the shocks for around $500. You could order parts yourself and get a quote for labor, just a thought.
