03 Screw/lift/tires/gears/and a programer

Long story short, Im saving up the cash to do the gears, tires, lift and a programmer. Im set on the rough country 4in suspension lift, the 35x12.50/18 toyo open country m/t, and sct3 program. I think the 4.56 gears will do me good and I have been looking around and also may do a locker. Any input on this guys? Thanks.

Looks like a good plan. What locker are you thinking about?

The axle will be more oval and look side ways if you have a 9.75. My screw came with a 8.8 which is more circular. I read that 8.8's have more options when it comes to gears but I'd still rather have a 9.75.

Here is a 9.75:

8.8:

9.75 have 12 bolts, 8.8 have 10 bolts too

OK, the OX Locker is only available for the 8.8, not the 9.75....but I think ARB makes a 9.75 Locker though, you will need at least a nitrogen tank, if not a full-on air compressor because the locker is air actuated. The Detroit lockers and others work great everywhere except around corners on slippery roads where the truck will get sideways from the slightest throttle input. I learned this when I owned a Jeep with front and rear lockers....could barely keep it on the road when it snowed....it got gobs of traction but the lockers weren't opening the diff's around slippery corners...they would stay locked and the Jeep got really squirrely.

X2, but OP doesnt really have to worry about snow since he is in TX

i couldnt imagine having lockers front and rear on a light jeep in snow! its bad enough with just the detroit in the rear on my truck
