2003 Supercrew FX4
Currently right now Im repainting the "honeycomb" grill black and Im doing a very good job of that as I used a article in here on how to take it off and redo it. Funny thing about it is my dad thought he needed to be here while I do it but he's gana be a bit surprised when he gets home and see's how good looking it is.
As for the engine, I dont have a job yet (working on that) but I want something done to the engine so I can feel a change and I already love it because she'll get up and go toe to toe with dads 5.7 hemi. I pretty much convinced my dad to let me do a modification to the air intake that I saw someone had done to a expedition. Im gana take a 3'5in pipe and cut it down to size so it will fit right where the air intake gathers all its air from passenger side wall. From what I understand its an extension that will allow more cold air to get into the intake and then the engine. Hopefully this turns out pretty good!
But the next thing is that Im kind of on the rocks about is since the grill will be a black, Im wondering if I should paint that bottom peice below the chrome black also to just make it all match. My truck is a 2003 Supercrew XLT FX4 Dark red (almost maroon) with the bottom grey tone.
Any advice would be appreciated. And I will try and take pictures and show everything that Im doing so yall can see it.

A picture of the truck would definitely help ha, its hard to picture it without actually seeing it.
And I assume your referring to the gotts mod for the intake? There's a pretty nice write up on here for it if you need something to reference while your doing it.
