Question ID this hood?

Hey guys. I just bought my 4.6l, 5sp, 4x4 F150 last winter and am getting a little bored of the styling. I want to do a Lightning clone. Already have the supercharged 5.4l waiting to be swapped in but now I'm looking for body mods.

I really like this hood but cannot find it anywhere! Anyone have an idea of what it is?

Looks to be a cross between a cowl and a ram air. Never seen one before.

Man I used to see that exact hood on eBay for the longest time, but when I finally had the money to purchase one, I couldn't find it anywhere! I would've bought that one too. Pretty sharp looking.

I haven't found anything I like as much as that one. There's a cobra style one at sporttruckdirect.com but I really like this one.

I found a VIS zd style carbon fibre hood that is really close but not quite the same. And if I'm paying the money for carbon fibre I'm sure as hell not painting it lol

I have never seen one of those, but it is definitely one of the better ones out there. I got lucky when I bought my truck, it already had a fiberglass Cobra style hood on it. I have no idea of the brand or manufacturer, but it is one of those that your either hate it or love it, I personally love it because I have driven Mustangs most of my life and this is my first truck and the hood gives it a Mustang style to it.

you might try on a lightning website for your answers, a lot more of them have hoods because a lot more of them have money then the "regular" guys do

On another note, that 5spd will not hold up to a 5.4 motor supercharged or not.

Really? I've been reading for a couple months and most of what I've seen suggest it does.

Evidence supporting your theory?

Also, thank you soooo much Patman!

I loved seeing more pics of that truck. It's so clean and done very well.

If the M5OD would have held up under a 5.4 it would have been a factory option, in fact starting with the 04 NBS they even took it out of the 4.6 and only offered it with a 4.2. Member JMC has one behind a supercharged 5.4 and has gone through about 5 of them. He's looking at a ZF swap.
