I got a Whelen mini edge lightbar and I need to know if the sun roof is gonna get broken if i bolt it to the roof. either bolt it or i need really strong magnets

 

You would be best off to drop the headliner and look at the actual clearance between the glass and metal. If you elect to bolt it, you're going to have to do this anyways to attach the nut on the bolt.

I would almost just recommend getting the magnetic mount. It won't be as clean, but it is not near as permanent and a lot easier.
