Water Leak around handle 2000 4x4 X Cab

Hey. I just bought a used 2000 F 150 4x4, extended cab. Love the truck! Happy to be a new Ford F150 owner, but hat the new water leak that has appeared around the Oh Crap handle on the drivers side. This model has an antenna just above it.

Does anyone have some step by step ideas to resolve? I have seen everything from "use a straw and slow out the water drain tube" to "the dealers dont know much".

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Much Thanks.

Aftermarket antenna on roof. Check the seals there. Than possibly windshield seal

Best bet is do a leak test. Take off trim and have someone soak the roof and glass with a hose with you inside.

Thanks for the response. There is no aftermaket antenna. I am guessing if the drain line was plugged that it would overflow, which its not. After that, I am guessing that your right that is proabably a window seal. Thanks!

If a drain line was plugged It would leak in the cab. You have a moonroof?

Sorry for the late respone. No, I dont have a moon roof. There is an internal antenna inside and I think that is for the temprature reading display? I did look around the corner of the front part of the windshield and found that it was full of junk under the pastic trim. I am going to blow out the drain tubing and then clean out the muck and apply some sort of sealent around the corner area.
Thoughts?

You are in need of a new front windshield sealing. Don't bother with a corner dab.

With a hard enough rain and the right parking spot, I'd seen both of my handles weep from the leak I had going...
