Hi. Can anyone tell me what the two wire plugged connection directly behind the #4 spark plug wire and directly below the heater core hose connections goes to? In wrestling to get the heater hoses off I accidentally severed a wire. thanks.
Hey Toyz, thanks for engaging. One wire is plain black, one is plain white. I don't THINK it's the O2 since the wires APPEAR to run off under the intake but I can't see very well since everything is shoehorned up in there. Sorry that I'm not able to post a picture.
It's just under the fuel lines on the back side of the passenger side engine; the soft fuel lines that are white. Round black plug, two wire. I'd try to splice, but it broke right at the plug. After a test drive, I'm not throwing a code yet. My uneducated guess is knock sensor.

The ONLY one back there is the knock sensor. O2's are 4 wire, the cht is d-side front. But, I thought the knocks were white and black.

Just reinstalled the blower/intake etc on my 01 today- not sure of the differences between the 5.4 and the 4.6 but I believe the only wires back there are- 02 sensor, knock sensor, the wire for the #4 COP and possibly the fuel injector wire.. Pretty sure thats it that far back....
Thanks for the input guys. After driving about 75 miles last night, I never did throw a code.
This sucks, I had my intake out less than a year ago to change the gaskets and I really didn't want to do that again so soon. However, as much as I drive I really need the a/f mix to be right.... here we go again.
