Hey guys help me out...
I went to buy some lunch earlier and my truck wouldn't move so I did a walk around and nothing was blocking me. I obviously checked my parking brake and it wasn't engaged when I attempted to drive.
Anyway, I know it's the parking brake because when I tried to engage it, the peddle barely moved... Help me out...

 

what do you have for rear brakes? disk or drum? you could have busted a cable, or pinched it with something that broke in the drum if you have drum brakes.

 

I have disc brakes

 

could possibly be a line then. im not familiar with the disk set up.

With rear disks, the parking brake is a small drum and shoes inside the rotor.

You are in for some fun. I had to rebuild most of the system on my truck with less than 70,000 miles on the clock. First the levers that actuate the e-brake shoes are notorious for rusting so when you stomp the e-brake down it won't engage or won't disengage. My cable had also seized up. One of my e-brake shoes separated (the shoe and brake material came apart and the brake material broke up). You may get lucky and just have to replace the levers but be prepared to get your wallet out.

 

It seemed like it was the driver side that is stuck. I'm just going to rip it apart and pray its just a spring or new cable that's needed.

The mechanism that engages the brakes within the brake assembly consists of 2 pieces that are connected with a stud that acts as a pivot. The 2 pieces rust easily and get stuck. I stopped using mine for years because of this and when I finally got into it to work on it, the two pieces were pretty much fused together.
In addition, the brake shoes tend to fall apart after about 5 or so years. Mine have been replaced 2 or 3 times (I have a '97).
It kind of sucks because when you do the rear brakes you end up doing 2 brake jobs (a disc brake job and a drum brake job). And to even check the drum brakes (the parking brake) you need to remove the disc caliper so you can pull the drum/rotor off.
