Ya, I've gone through a little mud myself without a prob.

Remember- with fords once you put them in second they're in that gear- they don't go to gear one first and they wont go to gear 3. Whenever I get into hairy situations second gear almost always gets me out. Just don't over rev the engine in 2nd as you can do a ton of damage.

First things first- find out if you have an open or limited slip axel- this is important so you can try to keep your drive wheel out of the thick stuff and will also dictate how you handle certain situations.

Hope I have been of some help. Good luck and have fun.

I use mine in the mud too, but what's considered light mud? To me that's just puddles.

why wouldnt it be? you dont need 4 wheel drive to drive in mud

Depends on what kind of mud your talking about I guess. But really it all comes down to the driver. A person with a lot experience can take a 4x2 out in the mud and do better than someone with 4x4 who's never driven in those conditions before.

A good ****** strap and another vehicle to get you out always is a good idea. I had a jeep that I drove through mud but always was glad I wasn't the only vehicle out there.

I have gone through some pretty deep mud holes in my truck... Momentum and nads are your friend.

I took a pass through a little mud hole on my way home from a friends last night... nothing too burly.
