So... I have a 2002 150 4.6 XLT with a cold air intake and i would like to take it up to the next level and build more TORQUE without blowing something up... HOW can I do this? My truck is completely stock besides the intake. My friends are telling me to get short headers & an exhaust but I rather get long headers, exhaust & a bigger throttle body... MAN I DONT KNOW!!! Help needed, what should I do?

 

long tube headers, loose the CAI and put the Gotts mod on, throttle bodys on the mod motors don't do much. Also look for a tuner. That is about all you can do. It would help if you put mileage, 2x4 or 4x4. there are many different variables to this. If its lifted re-gear it.

 

CAI and gott's will do the same thing no reason to ditch it if he's already bought it. And shorty header's won't do anything, so I wouldn't listen to your friends. Go with long tubes like your thinking about.

But don't forget without a proper tune, you really won't be gaining anything.

 

Go with long tubes, full exhaust. And then get it tuned.
