odo/tripometer stopped rolling

odo/tripometer stopped rolling

my 97 f150 odometer and tripometer stopped rolling. don't know what to check if there is a blown fuse of something is unplugged or just dirty only 150k miles on it any help would be nice. thanks in advance

this cluster is gear driven... it may have died... did you reset the tripometer on the fly?

did the 97 have a digital or old roller style? IF its digital and it went black, just tap on the screen a few times it will come back

the 97's are the roller style. im betting one of the gears gave out.

Ah. Yeah I agree then. Or it could have just come unplugged... I borrowed a little mid 90's model ranger once for a while and it quit counting, so I pulled the cluster, and the cable had just slipped out the back of the cluster.. so I hooked it back up and she started working again.

im guessing something is unplugged bc it would roll than stop rolling for a couple weeks now it just stopped completely. i may check behind the cluster when i have some free time. thanks
