Just a quick thank you
Just a quick thank you
Wanted to thank anyone who's posted anything about removing from the throttle body to the intake manifold gaskets, the intake manifold cracking at the coolant cross over and changing spark plugs.
Last year before I deployed I noticed a coolant leak from around the cross over but didnt have time to fix it. When I got home the leak had slowed to the point where I didn't worry to much about it, that is until this past Sunday. After seeing the coolant dripping from the back of the block I decided to tear it apart and make the bad leak stop. After getting everything apart I found that the gasket under ther thermostat housing had failed. Monday I tracked down all the necessary gaskets and the pcv line I broke, I got every thing put back together last night around 8. From the dealer the cross over gaskets were about 8 bucks a piece and the line with new pcv was around $36.
Figured it would be wise to do the plugs while I had the manifold off, there were auto lites in it but they were gapped to around .06.
Hardest part was probably getting the lines off the fuel rail. Thanks againg guys!
