Ok I have 285/75r16 (i think basically 33x11.50) tires. I cranked my tbars almost all the way but my truck still has about a one inch rake. Im thinking bout dping a 4" lift but would my tires look too small with 4" lift? Is there any other options to level it without lift or torsion keys? Or is a 4" suspension lift my next option? This is the first truck im building from stock so i dont know really what to look for.
4" lift and 33"s look too small??? Ummmmm, I'm thinkin not! As mentioned, your only options to fix/adjust from where you're currently at is a lift kit or lower the rear somehow. Body lift will not address any rake condition you may have.

Nice truck
I converted it and 305/70R16 turns out to be 33x12x16. But they look definitly bigger! I'm also running 285/75R16 BFG ATs and maybe want to put on a 5" RoughCountry lift but think that my tires will look small and I'll have to upgrade to 35s but then I should regear my truck...

Looks like it, but it's not!
They are not taller than 33" My signature is correct.
What-ever…still looks great and the point is the same…33"s are not too small looking for a 4" lift.
The key to how successful your wheel/tire combo is a bit of an art, and getting the right width and offset of the wheel being just as crucial if not more so than tire choice. Just like here, you have no idea how many guys I get mistaking my sizes based off appearance. You also can't just throw a 35" tire on something and expect that to work either. You can take this exact same tire but throw it on the wrong wheel and you'll end up with something at the completely opposite end of the spectrum of what you're trying to achieve. Most guys go waaay to skinny or waaay to little offset to achieve the look they're going for, with the latter being the worst mistake. Offset will ruin a look before width will, but both are still crucial. Probably the biggest mistake out there is guys jump to "what's the biggest tire I can fit?" WRONG? How about asking "what's the right tire for my set-up" next time!
97Fordman...your 285/75's will not look as big as these even though it's a 33" tire. I'm assuming you're putting them on stock or some other 8" wheel? With a 4" lift, they will look smaller, yes. You didn't mention it, but what are your wheel plans? If you're sticking with the 285's on the wheel in your picture there, then I'd personally probably forego the lift until you can do the whole package. Unless you like that look. If so, then rock it!

Tread not only makes a tire look bigger, but it can make the tire bigger too. I definitely agree with what you said Galaxy about the wheel playing a huge part in it, but the tire of choice makes a difference too. All tires measure out differently no matter what's stated on the sidewall, barely any are actually true to size and even more so different when wheel width comes into play. But as his are mounted on a 16x8 wheel (says it in his sig), like you said in the end they're just gonna look smaller than desired. They're definitely not going to fill it out like your truck does or give it the stance like your truck has, they're just not wide enough nor is the wheel.
My wheels are 16x8...I just purchased the tire an wheel combo about 2 or 3 weeks ago...they rub now so i thought maybe they wouldnt look too small for a lift...my last f150 had 16x10 wheels and 35s with a 4" lift and the tbars were cranked all the way to clear them. I thought about doin a 4" lift with a smaller block in the rear an crankin the tbars down a little. Would this work? Like i said both of my lifted trucks were lifted when i bought it. I wanted to build this one myself but Im having to do it one thing at a time because im young and trying to buy a house too! lol
What is your offset, because that looks about how I'm trying to get mine.
