Replaced abs pump, now light on
So for the last few weeks my abs pump had a leak from the fitting that looks like a bleeder fitting right under where the lines go in to the pump. I ordered a used one from ebay and finally got to put it in last night. I bled the crap out of the breaks after i swapped the pumps out and all was fine for about 25-30 miles. Then the abs light came on. Now my main concern is that the pump came from a truck with a 4.6, and i have the 5.4, but i compared the part numbers before i installed the new one and they matched. maby i just got another bad one. Right now i have the battery disconnected but i know i'm going to have to get the code reader, what kind of scanner do i need? im sure my X-cal2 wont do it, right?
so what do you guys think, its a 2001 4wd with 4 wheel abs
EDIT:i forgot to mention the light was off when it was leaking and the abs worked

Any ideas? I don't want to have to go through the trouble of returning this thing. i would like to try my old module with this new pump but it kinda caught on fire a little while i was removing one of the lines, probably not the smartest idea but i didn't think i was going to need it again but i knew i needed that line intact. Its not badly melted at all, think i should even waste my time swapping them?
so after i hooked my battery back up last week the light was off till today it popped back on. Im not realy sure what is going on here, it has to be the new pump since it was fine till i changed it. I geuss my main question is did i screw up by getting a 4.6 pump?
