1997 F150 Problems with everything
ah okay makes since
so today i replaced my cold air intake off and replaced my intake with the stock one and my truck would run then it would just shut off with no gas being applied the miss was there even after i cleaned it. it is just a miss that will wont be there then it will miss then fine then it will miss for a while im lost??????
hmm ill try that again i may have gotten a bad wire/cp i replaced the wire and coild pack the other day to see if it changed and it didnt i dont know if its that or maybe something serious internal? but that wouldnt make sense to me if it is firing sometimes
ill try it. ill have to return the one tomorrow. im just glad its not #4 ive been down that road it blew out i ended up replacing the engine n it was a bitch the place i bought it from gave me 3 locked up engines before finding me the right one!
The E3 plugs have been really good though? im so confused on the difference in plugs? one of my friends has an 03 5.4 f150 running E3 and loves them? is there any major advantage to OE plugs. i have read a lot about them and saw several videos saying that the E3 plugs give you more power and better fuel economy. Im not argueing with just wonder why there so much better then any plug? and i will need to get the motercraft plug wires prolly/

E3's are ok for about 20,000 miles. They are a performance plug designed for boosted engines. They dont last long though. For a normally aspirated modular the only 2 brand of plugs I would use is motorcraft or Denso.
ok so total for those things are a little out of my budget right now being in college sucks lol but ill get on them asap. btw the plugs have less then 6000 on them same with my autolight plug wires. would they be fouling out this soon? also could a vacuum leak cause a miss because my engine seems to be surging and as soon as the break is applied it shuts off. i think a vacuum could cause a miss but not entirely sure??
