What do you guys think?

My current truck is getting destroyed by rust and I'm looking for something new . What are your opinions on this?

I love the color, everything looks super clean from the pictures, and it has fairly low mileage. Price actually seems pretty decent as well..I'd say go for it.

It also has every option you can get on a Lariat. I'm planning on driving down to see it later this week.

The plug issue is fixed in the 03's? I've gone through hell with mine and the plugs.

Yes the plug issue was fixed in 03. even though i know that a plus i definently would not pay what they want ideally i wouldnt pay more then 11 its still just about a 9 year old truck at this point not that this body style hasnt been tried and proven so has the next body style and that one has a stronger frame and newer features

I was thinking the same thing putting the cap at 11, then seeing how much I can get out of my truck.

It was fixed very late in the model year - the odds are greater that it has the 4 thread heads than the 8 thread heads. Still, 28 ft/lb and no antiseize eliminates the blowout issue.

Book value is less than $10k, by the way.

the newest motor i found was assembled april 1st 2003 and still had the 4 threaded spark plug heads. so at ABSOLUTE MAX they were only used 3 months.

I put a lot of research into it. Heads were being made on November 12 2002 but they used up the old heads first. The newest 2v f150 motor i found was assembled on april 1st 2003 and it had the old casting numbers still.

I have an 03 engine made in sept 02 in my truck and it has 4 thread heads. Part of the reason I looked for an 03 engine is I wanted the extra threads. Didnt get them.
