4wd question

we took my truck out shooting trap yesterday and today and when you go in reverse the 4wd works but if we were going forward it seemed liked it wasn't working just the back tires would spin. When we turned left or right there was a pull like it does when you try and turn slow in 4hi then it would pop has anyone had this happen to there truck or have any idea what it could be?

sounds like a Ranger I had some time ago that had manual locking hubs on it. Driving backward then forward usually released them. Not sure if it would apply to these rigs or not... so far I haven't had a problem with 4WD

Are you sure both tires were not spinning? these are open differential front ends and generally only 1 spins. if you have an open diff rear you reall have a 2wd truck.. Usually only 1 spins in no traction situations.. Some time it will shift from side to side depending on the gear..
