Swapping to m5od!

Been thinking about this for a while now, just never thought it would be too easy....not too bad from what I have read here. Question is though, since the tranny has to com from a 4.6 truck, then what else does? clutch will be new along with pilot bearing, flywheel resurfaced so I am thinking would have to be 4.6 too....but pedals, slave and master cylinder, shifter, any other little stuff I may have forgotten, can all be purchased from a 6 cylinder truck I hope? 4.6's with m5od's are very rare, but a few v6's I have seen around......any advice from the vets here would be cool, I know JMC has done it and read lots of his posts

I won't be doing anything crazy with my truck, stock 5.4, maybe headers, but nothing else, and 35's with 4.10's.....what would be involved with the f250+ 5spd?

Anyone? Gonna start gathering parts soon

Oh!! Might have another fx4 soon...my buddy has an 03 with 87k miles and it has the famous ford knock in the 5.4 so he has been thing of q new crate engine or just dumping the truck...in talking to him e other day he says 'ya I might just dump it for like 3k' instantly my ears perked up and ya I told him I would give him 4 for it right now...he laughed and said after the new year he would be ok with unloading it.....so looks like I might have a newer truck with less k for dirt!!! Engine should still be ok for a looooong time to go eh?

From: Beaverton Or.
is there an infamous 5.4 knock?
Maybe exhaust leak, misfire, timing chain or fram oil filter.
