Arrow 3rd door on drivers side started??

Hey guys,

quick question.

My friend's 97 F150 has the opening third door on the passenger side but not drivers side, just saw a 98 that I believe is the same way.

What years did they do the 1 3rd door? when did they start making them both 3rd doors on ext cabs?

thanks

Correct, the 97-98 were the first years that they tried it. Personally I like not having the the 3rd door on the driver side.

That is my next plan since it is a pain to get over there in the first place. And it is a perfect spot because you can fold down the one seat and place it there.
