Radio Help!

I was driving today with my iPod hooked up with the cassette player and all of a suddened the radio switched from cassette 1 to cassette 2 and then back and forth. After that it just started to make a ticking noise. The sound would then disappear and I could listen to my country music again for like5 mins till it came back. And the truck is a 1998 XLT 4x4.

Any help?

I also have alpine speakers in all 4 spots

Thanks

I would start with getting a new cassette adapter... or better yet, a new HU with a USB port. I have one for sale if interested

Yea new cassette adapter, they wear out over time and will do that and there's really no fixing them.

I found that Kenwood DVD on ebay (used) that included the Xm module and Ipod cable...for $175. Add 25.00 for the mounting kit, $25 for an XM mini tuner and $50 for a Boyo rear camera.... $275 total. The Xm subscription was on top of all that. Well worth the cost!! After this HU, I probably will never again have just a radio
