2000 standard cab water leak
2000 standard cab water leak
Just purchased a 2000 F150 XLT with 4.6 L. After a night of heavy rains the cab smells like mold but can not locate the water leaks. Both left and right rubber floor mats had water them. I have been running two 1500 watt heaters and a box fan to dry the cab for four days. I have both power windows down about one inch. Now the power windows will not go up and I can not put the truck in gear. Like it is locked out because the brake is not releasing the gear lock-out.
I read about the GEM mod. and thought that was the problem. I removed the fusebox and GEM mod. and found no signs of water damage. Found two 5 amp fuses blown fuse sections 15 (stop lamp switch, speed control, brake shift interlock, ABS, PCM module inputs, GEM Module, RABS test connector)
and section 29 (autolamp module, transmission overdrive control switch)
I pulled left and right rubber between windshield and body. Windshield seals look OK.
I also have the split rear opening back window. Can water get from the rear window to the top of the floor mats?
Any ideas or help would be great. Thanks
window to the top of the floor mats?
Any idea where the leaks are coming from? I
