What should i Do to make My truck look cooler
Best way would be to take that piece to a paint shop and give them the color code for the truck
x2 but find a painted surround to start with. Prepping that chrome will take extra dollars....then again, the cost may balance out. It was only $300 to prep and paint my hood, to give an idea of cost.

i see you posted those crazy ebay headlights...your truck is really clean and doesn't need those things. If they happen to fit right, i still don't see them giving good clean light on the road.
Yea definitely stay away from those ebay projectors, biggest waste of money ever, and mine wouldn't even fit right.
As for painting the surround if you get the paint code from inside the door jamb you can google it and buy it pre-mixed in spray paint cans online.

Either leave them alone for now, or go with a 2 piece set where the heads and corners are seperate. I'm not sure how the black heads would look on your truck though until you can get the black wheels.
I have a '97 F-150, idk what cab, its got 3 doors. Anyways, I bought my toolbox for 50 dollars (id use the dollar sign but my one through four buttons are broken), then I got a nice chrome grille guard for another 50 dollars, if you are going to get one, get the one that goes to your truck, I bought one for a 2012 for like 100 dollars because it was one of the beefy ones and it matched my frame, but I couldnt make it work. Then I got a pair of KC day-lighters |65 watt and the guy gave me some fog lights to put on the back bumper (they are great for camping, turn them on and it lights up the site, just done leave them on, I made that mistake, my battery died). My truck looks good, I'm looking to get a windshield visor on it, and a canopy, to buy a windshield visor, have someone paint and install it is about 500 dollars, and canopys, well, they are a lot more. Just look in craigslist, Its a great place.
^^ Interesting post.... one thru four don't work, but you got a nice 2012 in there... lol
Anyhow, I think it's a beautiful truck... let me tell you a story...
When I was 16, my Dad gave me his '99 F150 Scab 4x2 with a lovely 4.2l v6 and 5 speed manual. I was so happy. I Loved that truck, but then had friends convince me it was getting old, and I needed something newer... yada, yada, yada... wasn't their money.
So my parents let me buy a brand new vehicle.. anything I wanted, and at that time, the flavor of the day was SUVs. So I bought an '03 Escape for like $26k. Well, all throughout high school I had car payments... had no money, had a stock SUV, and had payments. Greeeat. Then of course, there were issues with it... lots of issues. Could not wait to get rid of it!! So by the time I was in my second semester of college, I had to get rid of it... the transmission died like 4 times, and it would take 6 weeks to get fixed. Very annoying. Luckily I had the Ford ESP to cover all 4 times. But it was just a pain in the butt.
That same month that I paid the damn thing off, my parents let me get another new vehicle. I knew exactly what I wanted, either a SD diesel or my current F150.
But this is where I was smarter... I knew my financial obligations and how much I didn't like car payments and taking out huge loans, I took the F150. The Ford dealer was having issues trying to get rid of it (5 speed, 4.2l V6, Reg cab, 2wd, Long Bed). So I picked it up for 21k new. Quite a bit less than my previous vehicle. Plus my trade. Basically I got it for a steal. So I had it thru college, and graduated, got my full time job... and paid it off 2 months after I graduated and later that year I went thru Lombard to get my Ford ESP warranty.
All I can say is man.... why the hell did I get rid of that '99? ****... I wasted like $15k.
So to sum this all up... don't let friends tell you what you need to do. Take it for a grain of salt.
Again, your truck looks marvelous.
Edit: Actually I wasted more than $15k... I think my original loan was $33k (total w/interest) on that Escape because I went thru the dealer to get the ESP, plus the cost of my F150.... all I know is that it should've been saved up.
Edit #2: Just realized that this thread is 4 years old... I hate when people bring up old threads... very annoying!
