severe vibrations at 60MPH

Not sure what it is,but when I'm on the highway, once I hit 60 mph, there is some severe vibrations.I can feel it in the steering wheel, and the manual shifter.Once I hit 70,it seems to subside a bit.It is also less noticeable, when I let off on the gas.Any ideas what it might be???

Something out of alignment, if you feel it in the steering wheel it could be the front tires are out of balance.

im with pizzaman. need to get your front end in the air and make sure everything is tight. if that all checks out then i would have the wheel balance checked

When was the last time you had your tires rotated and balanced?

If your tires are pretty worn out, there's a good chance they may be out of round or possibly have broken belts.

There's a possibility they could be out of round like glc said. It could be as simple as them needing to be rotated and balanced though. I do mine every 5,000. My dad owns a shop and we do everyone elses every 5,000 as well.

Went thru the same thing and turned out to be rear tire belt was separated. Got a pro rate (58 per cent) so replaced with four new ones.
