Lets get to work
OK--Looks like the wife is headed out of town with the older lady(her mother) for purchase of some small town down near Greensboro on Sat. So that leaves me open and ready to check into the upkeep of my (new to me )truck.
I plan to clean the throttlebody and idle control valve along with making the up grade on the air intake(doing away with the silencer).
On some of the cars I have owned in the past, when removing bolts that have been untouched in alum for a long time, they seam to creak a lot and have a tendency to break at times also. Were the people at Ford thinking of us when all of these vehicles went together to keep in mind that antiseize compounds would help everyone involved- Just wondering if when I start turning bolts that most of them are going to start breaking---I gots lots of the Deep Creep and stuff that will be sprayed--Hadn't turned a wrench on a Ford since selling the 427 car.
In tghe past I have sprayed the stuff on the cold engine, then crank and let run just for a few min and that way the alum would expand a little and pull some of the DC into the parts to be tampered with--

Really depends on what bolts your planning on getting at. If its anything on the motor then it's not going to hurt. I've never really had a problem with the bolts on mine. Minuse the brass inserts in the plastic intake. What a terrible design. Id say use the DC just for safe measure
