rough idle on a 4.6....

Ok so driving home from the post office to pick up my Gryphon programmer (yah) my truck starts to develop a slight hickup (booo!). The idle is a bit rough and it was missing slightly on acceleration. 148,000 miles, just had all plugs replaced with M.C. plugs, and all COPS replaced in May @ 142,000 miles. Yeah I don't drive very far for work. I know these engines have a problem with the egr ports clogging. The last time I took off the throttle body and cleaned it was at about 80,000 miles. I can't remember the exact symptoms of how it was acting. I have no codes popped yet, and have not reinstalled the Gryphon. Does this sound like a reasonable place to start, cleaning the throttle body? Any input guys? Thanks.!

All good ideas...I know its been awhile since the maf was cleaned. Hey 88 I was the one who posted on PHP about waiting for my programmer to be returned. I got it today. Might wait until Bill is back in the office before I load it back in the truck.

Turned out it got worse..my #1 cop was bad...when I changed them all the very first time, I stripped the bolt that holds it down and broke off the head..finally got that out and fixed..replaced the cop, all good now! But I am still going to clean the maf for good measure..and iac
