Paint Flaking off around the Dash Area?
This has just started happening on my truck.. 2 area's the paint has chipped away and now it just shows black where the paint was.. Im not liking this too much.. What is causing this? When i was test driving Expys a few weeks ago most of them had BIG black spots all around the dash where the paint has come off. I dont put any cleaning products or shines on the dash.. I use a damp rag and go over the area then a dry rag and dry. Anyone else having this problem?

tan dashes are worse about peeling for some reason, not sure why. maybe they didnt prep them correctly at the factory? (FWIW i dont have issues with either of my grey dashes)
IIRC someone (dupoint maybe) sells a can of spray paint that matches exactly the color of the dash if you need to fix a spot or two.

Yeah mine did this a couple of years ago now...back then, the only ptm interior paint I found was from a company on eBay for around $36 per can shipped so I just used duplicolor flat black to contrast instead of trying to match. Idk how that would look on a KR interior though.
I was in autozone the other day though and I'm pretty sure I saw interior factory-matched paint cans for pretty cheap. Can't remember the brand but you might check that out. Painting is pretty easy and I've had pretty good results so don't worry about screwing anything up. Worst case scenario, let it dry, sand it down again and repaint it.
