New winter rims/tires

I got tired of the center caps always coming off on my stock steelies so I decided to get some new winter steelies. The brand is Unique 16x7 5x135mm. They are rebranded Cragar Soft 8 Black wheels. I was not able to get the Cragars locally. The shop I got them from was not able to get them from any of their distributors. Ordering the Cragars from the US and picking them up at the border was almost the same price as getting the rebranded ones. The local price including taxes, mounting/balancing was just over $500. I got the tires for free from my dad, they are just over 18 months old and they won't fit on his new truck so he gave them to me, Michelin LTX AT2 265/75/16. They do rub on the mud flaps when I back up if I turn too tight and there is a slight rub going forward if I make a right turn with full lock but I'll live with it.

Doesn't look too bad, 97XL. I'm not really a fan of that style of rim, but they look decent on your truck. The Michelins should be a hard compound and from my experience, they will dry rot before the tread wears out. Which means if they are taken care of, they should last a good while

Thanks guys. When I put the wheels on the truck I had both front wheels off of the ground and I cranked them lock to lock to check clearance and I found that with them cranked full lock to the right the drivers side wheel has about 1/32" clearance to the stabilizer bar, when I crank full left lock the pass side tire has about 1" clearance. I'll just have to remember not to go full lock.

Not a true test, though, with the wheels off the ground and the suspension decompressed. How's it really look with it on the ground and a load on the suspension?

Yeah I knew it was not totally accurate I just wanted an idea of how close it is. I'll check this weekend if I have time.
