ABS refers to Automatic Brake Steering.
Sorry, Brew - ABS is in fact "antilock brake system". I think you may be confusing it with traction control, which does selectively apply brakes to stop wheelspin. Without the "R", 4 wheel ABS is implied.

Well, don't be sorry, that's what it all is in a nut shell. The AB Systems are there to assist driver with controlling the vehicle. There's more than one set up and these set ups are referred to more than one name. Call it either or, I know what you mean. The main difference is from 2 wheel to 4 wheel. That should be understood.

Repair went well this weekend. I replaced the all the rear steel lines, rubber hose/brass fittings on the differential, and put new bleeder screws in the wheel cylinders. Bled the brakes and all is working well. Going to do the fronts this next Saturday a.m. if I can find time. I figure they aren't too far behind the rear hoses as far as failure goes.
