Skyjacker 6in or Fabtech 6in?

Im already working and when I get my 2002 S-crew I will lift it with one of these suspension lift kits.

My question is which one would be better for my truck (2002 ford f-150 s-crew 4x4) I will be running 35in x 12.50 toyo mt's with either 18in rockstars or momba rims. I know I will need the 4.88 gear ration instead of a regular stock fords. I believe I can get those from yukon since it seems they are the only ones that make them.

Skyjacker 6in suspension stage I with the replacement rear springs and dual steering stablizer + the nitro 8000 shocks. All that would run me close to $2900.

Fabtech 6in Performance system-k2004. $2000.

Huge price difference but I am really leaning toward the Skyjacker because I have seen alot of them In Corpus Christi where I live and I have ridin with a few buddies who have the exact set up I want, There popular down here it seems and they handle well. But I need addvice of some "Seniors" haha.

4.88's are real low for 35's. 4.56's would be a lot better, unless the truck see's basically no highway or really anything faster than like 45 or so.

I have installed 2 Fabtech kits (sorry, not experience with skyjackers) but i love my Fabtech kit. The only thing i would suggest, is get the stabilizer, a set of bilsten 5100 shocks and a new leaf spring set for the rear to eliminate the blocks.

Fabtech is excellent, however skyjacker has dual stabilizers if you ever go bigger

Just installed a Skyjacker 6" lift. I have 5" blocks in the back and will eventually get leafs in the back and dual steering stabilizers but it is good for now. Handles and rides like a dream. Finished it up Yesterday.

no way he can atleast go to 60mph!

i would get 4.88's if you are going to upgrade to bigger tires in the future, no sence in regearing twice!

4.88's with 35's put your RPMS at 2K at 60MPH

as for the lifts, not too many people on here run skyjacker, but several run the fabtech with body lifts on 37+ size tires without dual steering stabilizers.

Haha yea the regearing twice thing is the catch, mpg is gonna suck with 35's and 4.88's but if you plan on going bigger it's a better way to go or just wait until your ready to go bigger and do the gears then ha.

i've really noticed little difference with my truck from 3.55's to 4.56's as far as mileage. I can get over 16 mpg by cruising with a light foot at 55-60 with my 4.56's, city mpg around 13.5 to 14. Much better acceleration and so much less downshifting on long hills. Best mod ever is re-gearing with 35's.

I get back from FCA and have alot more posts on here now, sweet.

But I think I will do the skyjacker with the nitro shocks and dual steering stabelizer with 35in toyo open m/t and maybe 16 or 18 in momba 2 wheels or rockstars.
Really cant wait for all this to start taking place and I think my best bet would be Yukon 4.56 gears.
