Heat not working

Heat not working

2001 f150... Wont blow hot air. Ac is great and fan blows hard. Looking for suggestions. Thnx

Search blend door, I know when my truck was blowing nothing but heat or the other way (forget now?) that's what it was. I'd check the dial too, but I'll bet it's the blend door.

Most likely the blend door, mines broke too but I've figured out if I just leave it set to heat and let it constantly blow for a while it'll slowly switch over over the course of about a month or so ha.

Touch the heater core hoses to make sure both are warm......if ones warm and the other one isnt then the heater is plugged and needs to be flushed or replaced......caution may be hot....

Yep I agree, first thing.

1. Check the engine coolant level when hot and cold.


2. Check for hot water to the heater core inlet hose.


3. Is the heater core outlet hose cool or cold?

If so, -

TEST the heater core for a plugged or partially plugged condition.
