Looking for Opinions

Hello,

I have a 2001 F150 4wd XLT 5.4L with 244,000 miles, and I'm trying to decide if I should trade it for a new used F150, or if I should keep on driving it. I live in NM and do a lot of traveling on rough dirt roads and across open prairie, sometimes at speeds that are bone jarring, and I also take long rides of several hundred to a couple of thousand miles across the state and neighboring states. I would hate to be out in the middle of nowhere and have my trusty F150 suddenly give up the ghost. It's been super reliable over the years, typical coil replacements, bearing seals, and a cracked intake manifold at one point, but overall nothing major. I'm religious about oil changes and routine maintenance, the engine still purrs along nicely, the body has some minor dings, the suspension rattles on bumpy roads, I can't figure out what is loose down there making all the noise. It's been a great vehicle and the only truck I would consider buying again.

Anyone have any opinions? Am I living on borrowed time, or should I just keep going? Thanks.
Paul

Keep going till it dies - you aren't going to get much for a 11 year old truck with that many miles on it.
