Help Installing grill Guard

Help Installing grill Guard

i just purchased a manik grill guard for my 2002 f150 and i have been searching for installation instructions for it and was wondering if anyone could direct me to where i can find some manik instructions. i know manik is no longer around but there has to be on the internet still somewhere.

All I can find is stuff for toyota's and I did find one about an explorer. But all it said was install the support brackets with 4 bolts ha. Do you have any pictures of the pieces? It might be easier to point you in the right direction to go from there.

i will try and get a picture of all that up tonight i think i figuered it out connection to grill guard but at the frame i am not sure. hopefully someone with a manik can chime in and give some advice or a picture of how there is on there 99 to 03 4wd

here are the pictures of the brackets i know how the guard attaches to the brackets but hopefully someone can guide me on how the brackets attach to frame

It looks like maybe you'd have to drill holes in the frame rails then bolt them down.

Thumbs up Don't Drill!

You don't have to drill. There should be to holes on the frame already. All you need to do is line the bracket up with the holes and tighten the bolts as much as possible. Good Luck!

I know you don't want to hear this but get under there and pull the bumper off. Looking at the brackets it appears that they tie into two existing holes on the frame. The front hole being approx 2 inches from the end of the frame. the lower bumper facia gets in the way of getting the bolt through.

I installed the Warn Trans4mer Grill Guard on my truck and had to utilize this hole. much easier to pull the bumper. but it can be done with a little finessing.

At the very least pulling the bumper will give you a clear view of the frame ends and no doubt where they tie in.

thankyou guys for all the help i have installed the grill guard and i have posted a photo of the mount location which is the same for both side. it was right in front of my face i just was over thinking this no need to trim valence or take it off. all fit nice and snug. thanks again guys for all the help.
