New Deck

I just got a new headunit(Alpine CDA-9857 if anyone cares) and i need to find the right dash kit for my truck, which is a 2000 f150 XLT. Will this one work? Im trying to find the cheapest one and this one comes with the correct harness which is a bonus.

Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated, but it has to be on a budget, and ship to canada.

-Thanks

I'm not sure about that exact kit, but on mine I had to snap off the top pieces with holes. Then the dash kit just pops into place when you push it into the dash. Some kits use two existing bolts, but my kit did not.

The CDA-9857 is a nice HU. I am running a CDA-117 and love it.

Thanks man! And I have a feeling that slot is going to go above the head unit so those holes can be used and it'll probably have some pop clips in there too to hold the rest in.

there are several kits out there. I can't remember which one I got, but the slot is on the bottom on my kit. IMO it looks better than the slot on top. Enjoy the deck, I have had one since it came out and I still love it.....but I've grown to hate the slow ipod interface hmmm.......double din might be in my future!

Hey. Thanks for the great replies, but i have my radio out and dash off, and i still cant see where the screw holes on the kit mount, and really would like not to do extensive modification to my dash.

You must have the same kit as me. On my mount I had to snap off those parts, mine uses no screws. The kit I have can be flipped, so you can put the hole on top or bottom.

The screws will go through where the screw holes are for your ac controls, basically it just slips in behind those if that makes sense.
