Drivers side power window problem

My left window would not come back up one day. Right side window works fine from left and right switch. Had been having NO problem with window prior to this. I swapped the #7 fuse located in the engine compartment fuse box with another 15 amp fuse and the window went back up. Now the window will not go back down. (up is lots better than down). Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Chris

Probably need to take the switc apart and clean the contacts. There is a"How To" in the Articles and How To section for later models but shoud give you an idea.

or take the pw motor out and clean the brushes. I have found this to be a common problem, but more so on GM's than on Fords. On Fords, the plastic gears like to turn to shrapnel
