got a few issues

so i picked up an 03 f150 xlt 4x4 xtr.
this is the first vehicle that i bought from a dealership and got financed for havent even had it for 2 weeks yet

the first issue im having is with the 4wd system.found out the hard way last weekend that 4wd isnt working while out hunting the opening day of archery season.resulting in a 15 kilometer walk until someone came by and gave us a ride.i took it back to the dealership and they ended up replacing the 4wd **** after checking it out.im a lil suspect that they didnt do anything as it only took them 10 minutes to do and i didnt notice any difference in it after.

the other thing happened last night.i got in my truck after work, tried to start my truck and nothing.all my lights came on and everything so i know the battery is good.when i turned the key i got nothing at all.i tried it again this morning and it started right up so i drove it home.then later when i got home and was getting ready to leave again it wouldnt start again.

Possible starter is going bad, and I'm assuming its electric 4x4 so replacing the switch could fix it but if you tested it and it didn't work I'd take it right back and have them do it again.

The fun test....take it out on a larger grassy place ..put it 4hi...have some one watch the front wheels...then punch it, sorry not very long. If it is working the front tires should spin. Same for 4lo...here you should hear a bit of a gear whine and WAY torque-ier feel...if it is working you'll probably know quick.....If it isn't working take it back & just because you hear something, doesn't always mean everything is working.

as far as the not starting, you can clean the battery posts and see if that helps..seems like you have a bad connection somewhere. Also when trying to start and you get the "NO start"....is there a flashing light on the dash?
