Wow thanks for all the great comments guys.

My first truck was a 85 F150 Stepside. I was pretty happy when she said she wanted a truck. I just wanted to get her something that was going to be dependable, and not get me a phone call late at night because it was broke down. She is pretty spoiled, but what daddy's girl isn't.

As for mods go it won't get much. However, it did get me on the lookout for another one to maybe do something to. We just bought a 08 Mustang GT that's keeping my V8 bug fed

I really like the hood too. When I first saw it I was expecting it to be fiberglass. I was surprised to find out it was steel.

It appears that it had some type of vinyl wrap graphic on the front at some time though. You can tell where something had been stuck on the hood and front fenders. I'm sure it will buff out though, just haven't made it that far yet.

Steel? You sure it's not aluminum? The stock hood is aluminum.

It seems like steel. It's a pretty heavy hood. I had to get heavy duty lift supports for it. I could be wrong though. I tried searching for the numbers that were stamped on the underside, but haven't came up with anything yet.

Yep, most of the aftermarket cowl hoods are steel. They weigh maybe 40 lbs more than the stock hood.. but what's 40 extra lbs on a 4,500 lb truck? It looks like a Reflexxions Cowl..

I thought about it, but since it will be parked in the high school parking lot I figured it may be a nice thing to keep on it.

Be honest with us, you bought that nice looking truck for yourself, your daughter just doesn't know it yet, lol.

OK OK you caught me.

I have to say I really like it. However, I'm spoiled to my crew cab. I like the single cab trucks, but if I were to buy another truck it would probably be a Screw for sure. My dad has a 09 F150 Screw, and it is a really nice truck. The extra room they added to the cab makes a huge difference in the feel of the interior.

Sorry guys. I haven't been on here in a while.

Thanks for the comments.

What I have gathered is that the front is lowered with a Ground Force lowering spring, and the rear is a flip kit. It is a 3/5 drop. I'm actually considering raising it up an inch or so. The front rubs pretty hard if you hit a dip in the road at anything above 25mph. Since this will be my daughter's truck I don't want her to tear the front end off of it not paying attention to this. That and I hope by raising the rear it will elimnate the sag that it has. It drives me nuts. The new shocks helped some, but it's still sagging a bit.
