So this morning I went outside and my fuel door was open and my gas cap was off. I didn't see any sugar or anything around the filler neck but I took it off to see if there was any inside and I didn't find anything. My question is do you think whoever did this might have poured a liquid in or just tried to siphon it and failed because of the guard screen at the end of the filler neck?

 

My guess would be siphon but who knows for sure without checking the contents of the tank

 

Probably just a theif. You could pull the fuel line at the filter and see what the gas looks/smells like. But you are probably good to go..........unless there is someone you have really ticked off lately.

My son had somebody stealing gas and the hose broke off inside the filler neck, had to fill up with an eye-dropper until he found the issue.

probably tried to steal the gas the 97+ have a ball valve at the tank..

 

Started the truck yesterday and drove it around all night and no problems. Looks like somebody needs to get a job and pay for their own gas. Thanks for the help guys!
