Thinking about doing this but wondering if there would be a noticeable difference in the paint color under the moulding...

 

nope not at all. your not thinking about taking off the pin striping that goes on the line of the two tone are you?

 

Mine is only one tone... red. I did remove the Lariat pinstriping about a year after I got it in '03. 90% came off with no difference but theres a couple spots where you can still see ghosts of where it was.

 

oh no i took the molding off and and there was no color difference for me. just peel off the molding after its been sitting in the sun for awhile or use a heat gun to heat it up then peel it off get all the rest of the stuff off with goo gone or something then i used color match turtle wax and you cant even tell there was molding there
