2003 f-150

2003 F-150, 4.2 - The truck will not start. Code reader shows P1400 and P0174. Were would I start?

wont crank or wont run?

1400 is DPFE low voltage, check fuses maybe?
0174 is a fuel trim code and shouldn't effect ability to crank/run

Should start and run w/fuel pedal assist. DTC's have nothing to do with the problem.

Inertia breaker may need to be reset.

Fuel pump or relay is bad.

Crank Sensor is disconnected or not functioning.

Harness problem.

Could be many things, but that's just a few of the most common.
